S.U.P.E.R. Learning Center Celebrates 25 Years of Transforming Education for Neurodiverse Students

S.U.P.E.R. Learning Center, Ohio’s leading faith-based neurodiverse school, is celebrating 25 years of empowering students through innovative, individualized education. Founded in 2000 by Lyn Goodwin, S.U.P.E.R. (Students Using Proven Educational Resources) has grown from a homeschool initiative to a fully accredited K-12 institution, serving students across 32 school districts.

“For 25 years, S.U.P.E.R. Learning Center has been a place where students who feel lost in traditional education systems find hope, confidence, and success,” said Founder Lyn Goodwin (alumn of Malone University and Walsh University). “This milestone is not just about looking back on our achievements, but reaffirming our commitment to providing an inclusive, supportive learning environment where every child is seen, heard, and given the tools to thrive.”

S.U.P.E.R. Learning Center began as a response to one family’s need for a better education model, and today, it continues to stand out as a beacon of excellence. The school’s specialized programs, such as Right Brain Training and Physical Cognitive Skills Training, offer research-backed cognitive development approaches that have helped over 1,500 students make significant academic gains. The institution’s faith-based environment, small class sizes, and strong commitment to individualized education plans (IEPs) ensure that each student receives the support they need to excel.

To commemorate this milestone, S.U.P.E.R. will host a Silver Jubilee Celebration on Saturday, October 11, 2025, bringing together alumni, families, community members, and supporters to reflect on the past, celebrate the present, and look toward the future.

The Silver Jubilee Celebration will feature alumni success stories, community recognition, and reflections on S.U.P.E.R.’s profound impact over the years. Lakemore Mayor Richard Cole, who also leads Marketing Development & Community Outreach at S.U.P.E.R., spoke on the school’s significance within the community.

“S.U.P.E.R. Learning Center has been a pillar in Lakemore, not only transforming the historic Lakemore Elementary School into a thriving educational facility but also enriching the lives of students and families,” said Mayor Richard Cole. “Their unwavering dedication to neurodiverse students has created a lasting impact, and we are honored to celebrate this milestone with them.”

Looking ahead, S.U.P.E.R. Learning Center remains committed to expanding its outreach efforts, strengthening vocational and transitional programs, and continuing to create an inclusive, faith-based environment where every student is seen, valued, and empowered. By embracing innovative learning strategies and individualized education, S.U.P.E.R. will continue to equip students with the skills, confidence, and support they need to thrive in school, life, and beyond.

Community members, alumni, and supporters are encouraged to attend the Silver Jubilee Celebration on October 11, 2025. More details about the family festival event will be shared in the coming months.
