Our students engage in enriching extracurricular activities, social and life skill training, outreach programs, and a strong anti-bullying culture—all designed to help them grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Extracurricular Activities: Engaging, Learning, and Thriving

Our students have the opportunity to engage in a variety of extracurricular activities that promote leadership, creativity, and social interaction. These experiences help develop confidence, teamwork, and friendships that last a lifetime.

  • Cheer Club – Students participate and compete in the annual Springfield Sparktacular Showcase, showcasing their spirit and dedication.
  • Student Council – A fully functional student-led government where students are elected by staff and take on leadership roles to enhance school life and contribute to the community.
  • Fall Harvest Dance – A fun-filled annual event where students and families can dress in family-friendly costumes, enjoy music, and celebrate the season.
  • Talent Show – Students showcase their unique gifts in music, art, performance, and more during this highly anticipated event.
  • Santa Pancake Breakfast – A ticketed event for students and families to visit Santa, take pictures, do crafts, and enjoy a pancake breakfast together.
  • Santa’s Visit – Every student meets Santa and receives a special gift, bringing holiday joy to the school.
  • Academic Fair – Each student completes a research project and presents their findings at an open house night, building confidence and public speaking skills.
  • Theater Production (Every Other Year) – Students take part in an on-stage production, giving them an opportunity to shine in acting, set design, and performance.
  • Easter Bunny Visit – A fun and festive visit where students receive Easter surprises and celebrate together.
  • High School Prom – A memorable night for high school students, filled with music, dancing, and celebration.
  • Field Trips – Hands-on learning experiences outside the classroom, giving students exposure to new places, cultures, and ideas.
  • Last Day of School Kickball Game & Water Fight – A school-wide tradition where students celebrate the end of the school year with a friendly kickball match and a water fight with local firefighters.

Social & Life Skill Training: Empowering Students for Life

Our Social and Life Skills Program is designed to equip students with the tools they need for independence, confidence, and success in school and beyond.

  • Personal Development – Students work on communication skills, teamwork, and social engagement to foster strong relationships.
  • Life Skills Training – Students gain real-world skills such as budgeting, job applications, interviewing techniques, and daily living tasks (cooking, cleaning, laundry, etc.).
  • Conflict Resolution & Social Awareness – Classes focus on navigating social situations, problem-solving, etiquette, and digital safety.
  • Career Readiness – Through vocational training and real-world practice, students learn about different career paths, workplace expectations, and professional etiquette.

Anti-Bullying: A Safe and Supportive Environment

We are committed to ensuring that every child feels safe, valued, and respected. Our approach to anti-bullying includes:

  • Zero Tolerance Policy – We take a proactive stance against bullying to create a positive, nurturing environment.
  • Social Skills & Peer Interaction Classes – These lessons help students build confidence, foster friendships, and navigate social situations.
  • Behavioral Support & Intervention – Our Response to Intervention (RTI) program provides additional behavioral support, ensuring students receive the guidance they need.
  • School-Wide Culture of Kindness – Through classroom discussions, role-playing activities, and mentorship, we instill a culture of respect and empathy.

Outreach: Teaching the Power of Giving Back

We believe in teaching students the value of kindness, generosity, and giving back to the community. Our students participate in various outreach initiatives, including:

  • Student Council Partnership with Lakemore Food Bank – Students volunteer and help support food distribution efforts for families in need.
  • Fundraising for Community Causes – Students raise funds throughout the year to support different charities and organizations.
  • Food Drives – Our students help organize school-wide food drives to assist local families facing food insecurity.
  • Pet Supply Drives – We collect dog food and pet supplies for local animal shelters, teaching students the importance of caring for all members of our community.

Helping You Make the Best Decision for Your Child’s Education

Cost/Affordability

S.U.P.E.R. Learning Center is an approved provider for the Ohio Autism Scholarship, Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship, and Ed Choice. These scholarships allow the Ohio Department of Education to pay a scholarship to the parents of a qualified child, which can be used to cover tuition costs at S.U.P.E.R. For detailed information on tuition and payment options, it’s recommended to contact the school directly.

How am I paying for this?

We are an Ohio Autism Scholarship, Ed Choice, and Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship provider. If your child qualifies, the Ohio Department of Education will pay you a scholarship for your child to attend S.U.P.E.R. Learning Center. If not, contact us to discuss payment options. We will work with you to find the best fit for your student.  All scholarships are subject to availability.

 *Note: you have to have an IEP to qualify for scholarships

Office Hours

Office Hours are 8:00 am -4:00 pm Monday through Friday.  Please schedule your tour so we can have reviewed your paperwork before hand. Call us today to begin the process!

 

Lunches

We have such a diverse nutriational need in our building including many allergies. Therefore, we cannot accommodate everyone in our building.  Parents and students pack and bring a lunch to school and we have three to four restaurants that work with us that have special lunches for our students.

 

Kindergarten Age and Schedule

Kindergarten is full day and kids must be potty trained to attend.

Transportation

S.U.P.E.R. Learning Center does not provide transportation. However, some school districts will provide transportation for your child. Contact your school district to see if transportation would be provided.

S.U.P.E.R. Learning Center emphasizes a safe and positive environment for all students. They have a zero-tolerance policy for bullying and celebrate the differences and unique abilities of their students. The school is committed to ensuring that every child feels safe and supported.

Do traditional students also attend S.U.P.E.R. Learning Center?

Yes, traditional students do attend S.U.P.E.R. Learning Center.  Our small class sizes and faith-based education offers students the type of education that is conducive for all types of learners.  Both students with special needs and typical students thrive in our environment.
